The Corntainer Corporation of America is pleased to announce the introduction of it's first corn-based bottle: 0.5 liters (16.9fl oz). This bottle has been produced exclusively for New Wave Enviro Products, Inc.

This corn starch plastic container is made from poyactide ("PLA"). Natureworks® PLA is a unique polymer that behaves like P.E.T. (a petroleum-based plastic) in the manufacturing process. PLA has great organoleptic characteristics and is excellent for food contact and related packaging applications.
